5 reasons why Lightroom is the better choice for editing landscape photos

1 min read

Landscape photography generally requires a higher than average amount of post-processing, and for advanced editing work, most photographers turn to Photoshop. However, this may not always be the best choice. In this great video tutorial, an experienced landscape photographer shared five reasons why Lightroom is often the better choice for editing landscape photos.

This interesting video by Expressive Photography’s Alister Benn explains why Lightroom is sometimes a better choice for editing landscape photos. Basically I agree with Benn. Of course, that’s not to say there are times when you need Photoshop’s advanced features. However, I find that Lightroom is by far the better choice when I’m not sure where I want to do editing on an image. Edits in Photoshop generally require you to add an adjustment layer, which can be cumbersome and time-consuming if you’re just trying things out. On the other hand, Lightroom puts all controls right at the front, making it easier to experiment, which is why I prefer it. Check out the video above for Benn’s full rundown.
