9 Useful Drone Features You May Have Overlooked

1 min read

Drones have quickly evolved into powerful and sophisticated tools for aerial photography and filmmaking, making them desirable tools for a wide range of creatives and applications. Amidst all this sophistication are many nifty and useful features that are easy to overlook. This great video tutorial shows you nine great features to try on your drone.

This awesome video tutorial from Videomaker shows you nine useful and easy-to-overlook drone features. Aside from Return to Home (RTH), my personal favorite is a simple one: bracketing. Though it’s often hidden a few menu levels down in the photo settings, you should familiarize yourself with your drone’s bracketing settings. The combination of a small sensor and scenes that often have extreme dynamic range can make it a real challenge for photographers to control the shadows and highlights, and one of the best ways to deal with this is to simply take three or five shots to make brackets. Most drones are stable enough that you can do this without worrying about alignment and sharpness issues, and it will make your post-editing life a lot easier. Check out the video above for the full rundown.
